This service area is located between Matsuo-Hachimantai IC and Nishine IC. Here, Mt. Iwate, also known as "Southern Katata Fuji," can be clearly seen spreading out its large footprint. Mt. Iwate resembles the shape of Mt. Fuji, and is also called "Nanbu Katata Fuji" because one side of the mountain looks like it has been scraped off.
A well-stocked food court allows visitors to enjoy noodles and rice bowl menus at reasonable prices.
The "Iwate Shorthorn Wagyu Beef Don" is recommended at the Iwateyama Restaurant on the premises. Other dishes include the "Iwateyama Horumon-yaki Set Meal" and the "Sasuke Pork Misoyaki Donburi," both of which are full of the flavors of Iwate!
